For four decades, the Teddy Bear Clinic has stood at the forefront of protecting children from abuse, providing trauma-informed support, advocacy, education and access to justice for vulnerable children and families.

Its 40-year journey represents not only an important organisational milestone, but a powerful reflection of South Africa’s collective responsibility to ensure that every child is safe, heard, protected and able to thrive.

Teddy Bear Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Commemoration event, hosted at Investec Sandton, will bring together leaders from government, business, civil society, philanthropy, academia and the broader community of supporters who have tirelessly contributed to the organisations work and impact.

“Creating enduring worth starts with investing in people, and there is no more important place to start than our children. When children are safe, supported and able to thrive, we lay the foundations for stronger communities and a more prosperous future. For 40 years, the Teddy Bear Foundation has helped vulnerable children find hope, healing and protection, creating a lasting impact on generations of South Africans” says Cumesh Moodliar, Investec South Africa CEO.

A child’s journey to healing begins when they disclose their abuse and they have access to the services provided by TBF. These services are aimed at minimizing the effects of abuse through specialized care, protection & support to the children and their families.

“Supporting Teddy Bear Foundation is an investment in the continued protection, empowerment and healing of vulnerable children and families” according to TBF clinical director Dr Shaheda Omar.
