A 35-year-old man walked in carrying a 10 Months old baby. He told the social worker that he is the father of the baby. He is not married to the mother of the baby and they live separately. The mother brought the baby to his wife and told him that he must take his baby. The mother did not bring the baby essentials. She left the baby with this 35-year-old gentleman. The gentleman came to the Teddybear Clinic because he did know what to do.

During consultation, the Social Worker contacted the mother of the baby and invited her to visit the office. She welcomed the visit and she asked that She be fetched by the father of the baby. They came to the office and a meeting with the aim of mediation in the matter was held. And It was agreed that the mother was overwhelmed with responsibilities. The father agreed to come on board and assist the mother to raise the baby, that includes child maintenance. The baby was re-unified with his mother without complex legal process
