At the Teddy Bear Foundation, every act of kindness brings us closer to our vision of “Child Abuse No More.” Today, we are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible team at Standard Bank’s Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) Blue Alliance, whose dedication and generosity continue to transform the lives of vulnerable children across South Africa. We are thrilled to announce the timely arrival of a generous donation of school shoes and school bags from the Blue Alliance team. These essential items will provide dignity, comfort, and confidence to children on their healing journey from trauma as they return to school in 2026. For many of the young survivors we support, something as simple as a new pair of shoes or a sturdy bag can make all the difference helping them feel seen, valued, and ready to learn. This donation is the latest chapter in an inspiring partnership that began in 2024.
The FCRM team, through their passionate Blue Alliance initiative “Building a Safer Tomorrow, Together” chose the Teddy Bear Foundation as their CSI partner, aligning their commitment to protecting the bank with our mission to safeguard South Africa’s children. From raising funds and collecting stationery, to painting our Soweto branch, hosting awareness campaigns, and organizing a successful school shoe drive in collaboration with partners like Ad Hoc Ingram, the Blue Alliance has shown what true teamwork and purpose can achieve. Their efforts not just financial, but hands-on and heartfelt have strengthened our ability to provide therapeutic support, court preparation, and prevention programs to abused children and their families.
We are especially proud to congratulate the FCRM Blue Alliance on winning a prestigious CSI Award from Standard Bank for their outstanding work! This well-deserved recognition not only celebrates their impact but also brings an additional R20,000 to the Teddy Bear Foundation, which will directly fund vital services for child survivors.
