The Teddy Bear Foundation Child Pregnant Learners (CPL) programme provides teenage pregnancy support and services in South Africa, actively going into various township schools to raise awareness and educate teen moms on sexual reproductive health. We also link teen moms to supportive services and other teenage pregnancy support organisations in South Africa to decrease school attrition.

Facilitating a community group for child pregnant learners is a critical task that requires sensitivity, empathy, and a comprehensive understanding of the issues these learners face. The facilitator plays an essential role in creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where the learners feel comfortable discussing their experiences, challenges, and needs.

Our training manual focuses on how to effectively facilitate such groups, incorporating foundational skills and essential strategies for engagement, trust-building, and providing guidance.
